Computer is an electronic device that basically comprises of monitor, keyboard and a CPU. The CPU stands for Central Processing Unit, which is called as brain of the computer. CPU contains storage device and applications that are essential for storing data, information and perform various operations.

Keyboard is a input device, used to feed the information to CPU. Mouse is also another input device used to perform input operation to the CPU. Beside keyboard and mouse, there are also other input devices like joystick and light pen that are used for playing games and feeding handwritten data respectively.

Monitor is the output device that is used to perform output operation. The monitor displays the result performed by the CPU. Printer is also another output device that helps to the get the output is printed form or hard copy. The printer consists of ink cartridges that help to print out the data in the paper.

Earlier days, the computers are very expensive but today they are cheap and quite affordable for all.
